House race between Williams and Mannion turned into an $18 million battle over a few issues

Syracuse, N.Y. – When Central New Yorkers cast their ballots Tuesday in the 22nd Congressional District election, they’ll have a choice between two candidates with starkly different views.
Rep. Brandon Williams, a first-term Republican, and state Sen. John Mannion, a two-term term Democrat, disagree on almost every significant issue. The candidates and political groups have spent a combined $18 million on the election, unleashing a barrage of political ads to amplify their messages.
