Vintage Northwest Native American Basket

I first want to advise you that I know almost nothing about Native American Baskets or Basket Weaving. I will describe this basket to the best of my knowledge. (If you have information that will enlighten me or help with this description...please feel free to message me)
Here is a Magnificent Small Lidded Basket that depicts a whale on one side and appears to be a wave of water on the opposite. Or it could be a boat with 2 people. I purchased it at an estate sale. It is attributed to the Makah Nookah Tribe in Northwestern US. The basket is woven with a very tight and intricate weave. It is done in Black, Burgundy, Red and Green. The colors are faded on the exterior of the basket compared to the colors on the inside. The basket measures 2 1/8 inches across the top of the lid and stands 2 inches tall.
