Sherman Pocket Level
.
This early level was made in the USA. It is in used, vintage condition - Structurally sound
cast iron base and plate with working bubble.
Paper label under vial is hard to read but you can make out S.J. Sherman. Patent date is July 19, 1853.
Use and storage wear consistent with age in the form of
scratching and scuffing, most of japanned finish is gone.
Set screw looks replaced, does not turn. Please review all of the pictures as they are part of the description. Measures approximately 3-5/8" long. Consider this pocket level for your collection!
