Artist/Maker:
Enrique Arroyo was the Mexican Indian son in law of California Pomo Indian basket weaver Rose Anderson. Rose taught Enrique where to find the plant materials, how to prepare them and the fine points of weaving which helped Enrique become arguably the best modern weaver of Pomo baskets. A very small number of Pomo baskets made after 1980 show up on the market and most of them are by Enrique.
