Description
This wasn't on some kid's wall. This wasn't on some kid's ceiling. This baby was on a freaking Movie Theater Marquee or the like. For those that don't know, there used to be this thing called a Movie Theater that lot's of people would go to and sit in a room and watch a new movie. It's an artifact of a long-gone era pre 2020, so you know it's old. And it's awesome. You won't find any blasted Netflix posters here. Checkout all the other hundreds of posters I'm listing in my store.
PLEASE READ ABOUT OUR GRADING SYSTEM BELOW
*OPENING THE TUBE ADVICE* - You will be really excited to see the hardcore lengths to make sure your poster arrives in the shape it was shipped. Included in that is Heavy Duty Poster Tube and 2mil plastic inside containing the poster. The tube ends are no joke. I've found the easiest way (and it is if you use this method) is to take a hammer and pry the inner lip on the tube cover. Think of it like a manhole. Should be self-explanatory when you see it but hit me with questions if not. Otherwise, you'll need to have superpowers to get it off. Pops right off with the above method and you can have zero muscles like me.
The grade of the item will be listed in title only (i.e. Back to the Future C6 blah blah). That means it subjectively fits our C6 grading below.
If the poster is listed as folded, it came that way. 99% of the time we will ship as folded, and not rolled in that case. In some cases, the folded poster has been flat so long to fold it may cause damge. The grading scale is not negatively impacted because a poster is folded. But if the folds created holes or tears along those lines, then it will be.
These grades are my own. I'm not professional grader. All items are Theater-used which means, awesome, they were in the trenches, but also, they do have various amounts of wear and tear.
My subjective grades, and roughly what they mean. We've tried to be consistent on the gradings, and tried to grade on the tougher side given our own biases. Most listings are C5-C7 on a scale to 10. None are above a C8 because we graded harshly. Remember, these are subjective. Please review pictures to gain better idea. I won't go into detail in description unless it's a big ticket item, so use those pictures in conjunction with our grade.
C8 -
Pretty near perfect given they were used. Usually minor indentations generally. Maybe a light crease somewhere on side.
Possibly small section along edge of pillowing.
C7 - Maybe a tiny 1/2" tear, maybe 2 (if everything else is nice), but not in prime location. Maybe less subtle creasing/folds.
Again, possible pillowing along an edge.
C6 - Minor chipping along edges, multiple tiny tears around edges, some creases (still usually not center view)
. Maybe small amount of pillowing.
C5 - Chipping, bigger tears, maybe fading if displayed outdoors, possibly a minor chunk missing.
Substantial pillowing.
C4 - I hope you just like this movie, as it's not in best of condition
Reminder, a grade doesn't mean all the above exists. Also, none of this takes the back into condition. Some of the backs are dirty, some have no issues.
