    What a lovely basket.  These plaited baskets are such treasures.  This basket is woven all in the same color which brings out the design in a unique way.
    This basket is from a collection owned by an artist who traveled the world and appreciated the handmade Native arts.  The piece was carefully displayed to avoid fading.
    Size: 14" diameter x  3" deep
    The plaited or sifter baskets, which are woven all over the reservation, are typically made of sumac.
