    You are bidding on a color plate from a scarce book, published in the 1870s. I don't have an exact date, but the printing, paper and style make me confident that it is in the 1871-1874 range. It depicts a beautiful happy Lndseer Newfoundland at the side of the lake or ocean, looking like he is about to go for a swim. Wonderful 140-year-old print!
    The page is in very good condition except for possible smudges/marks in the margins. The page size is approx. 5.25 X 7 inches and the actual image size (without margins) about 4 x 6 inches. The back of the page is blank.
    This is GENUINE antique/vintage item. It is not a modern reproduction.
